Method 1: Clear Cache and Data for Play Store app

- Force app to stop.
- Search for Google Play services >> Clear cache and data
- Also, look for google play services framework >> Clear cache and data
- Then find Download Manager >> Clear cache and data
- Now, restart your device and try to download the app.
Method 2: Verify your Internet connection
Many users have found that error 944 appears due to an Internet problem. In many cases it may be found that the error occurs because of slow Internet connection. Therefore, I would recommend checking the internet connection first. Make sure your internet connection works properly and at a good speed.
