Fix error code -11 on Google Play
Error code -11 in Google Play store, a common error occurs when you try to download, install, or update an application such as Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger etc. The message says:
“Application Name” cannot be installed. Try again, and if the problem continues, get help troubleshooting. Error code: -11
You can retry installation or updating the app, also restart your device, and then try to download or install the application before you try the steps below.Fix error code -11 on Google Play
Method 1: Clear cache and Clear data
Clearing cache and data is the solution for most of Google Play error codes.- Go to Settings >> Apps or Application Manager >> All >> Find Google Play Store and tap on it >> tap on Clear cache and Clear data.
- Then click Force stop.
- Also look for Google Play services >> Clear cache and Clear data
- Look for Download Manager >> Clear cache and Clear data
- Now, restart the device and try download the app

Method 2: Update or downgrade to previous version of Google Play
The Google Play Store may be outdated and maybe causes the errors. Check whether the update is available. If the update is available, update your Play Store and see if the issue is resolved.However, if no update is available. There is a possibility that updating the Google Play store is causing the error. The updated version of the Google Play store may have compatibility issues. So in this case, you need to uninstall Google Play updates. Just follow these steps to uninstall Google Play update.
- Go to Settings >> Apps or Application Manager >> Go to, All >> Find Google Play Store tap on it >> Uninstall updates
- Now restart your device and try to download the app
Method 3: Remove and re add your Google Account
- Go to Settings >> Accounts >> Google
- Remove all your Google accounts
- Go back to Google Play Store and log into your google account
- Then launch Google Play Store and download the app
Method 4: Clear the Dalvik cache (needs root)
This method requires that you have root permissions in your android device in order to be able to clear your DALAVIC cache. You also need to have a file manager application such as ES File Explorer. There are many file manager applications that can explore root files available in Google Play Store.- Open ES File Explorer file manager
- Go to the following path: / data / Dalvik cache
- Then, select all files in the folder and delete them
- Now restart the device and try downloading the application
Method 5: Clear cache partition through recovery mode
- First turn off your phone >> Press volume down button and power button together to go to recovery mode
- After entering recovery mode you will see many options >> Use volume buttons to navigate between options and power button to confirm your selection.
- Select wipe cache partition >> Press power button and the cache cleanup process will begin.
- A message will appear after finishing >> Select “reboot system now” and press power button, and your device will be restarted.
